Vesper
The system’s visual anchor: a G-type star with a dangerous inner exclusion zone.
A familiar route can become a checkpoint, a refuge or a place you no longer recognise.
Development preview · This article describes the current design. Proposed story details and features may change before release.
The current design centres the adventure on one authored solar system. Vesper is a working commercial region near an unstable Fold corridor. Its importance comes from the lives and routes inside it, rather than from being the centre of the galaxy.
The intended journey makes landmarks familiar: a planet’s silhouette, a moon’s position, the approach to a station. Repeated travel has a purpose when those recognisable places change during the campaign.
The setting connects industrial Meridian and Crown Station with Orison’s civilian traffic, the salvage routes of the Pale Belt and the outer reaches near Nacre. These are locations in the current narrative design; the gallery shows visual work in progress.
The design calls for checkpoints, altered shipping lanes and stations under pressure. A route that once felt routine can become dangerous without moving to an entirely new galaxy.
Narrative locations from the current design. This is a reading atlas, not a map to scale or a claim that every location is finished.
The system’s visual anchor: a G-type star with a dangerous inner exclusion zone.
A scorched world associated with mining relays and thermal harvesting arrays. Glare shapes the proposed approach.
Corporate shipyards and customs platforms surround the system’s most developed orbital infrastructure.
A high-orbit station above Meridian and an early anchor for ordinary trade and traffic.
Civilian traffic and agricultural orbital rings give the design a recognisable image of ordinary life.
Communications relays make this moon a setting for learning to interpret sensor information.
A dense asteroid corridor used by salvagers and smugglers. The proposed opening recovery job begins here.
A major navigation landmark with a ring plane, powerful magnetosphere and several moons.
An abandoned Fold research array and the laboratory associated with Dr. Ilya Serrin.
An old military depot. The design connects it with ship upgrades and a major combat encounter.
Sparse traffic and cyan light set a quieter, stranger tone in the outer system.
Debris near Nacre carries traces of the Rift Crisis and recognisable hulls from the earlier game.
A remote beacon and station near the system boundary, named as the intended destination of the opening delivery.
