Three reserves for three emergencies
The item catalogue describes a Fuel Cell that automatically fills the tank when fuel falls below 35%, and a Shield Battery that restores shields when they fall below the same threshold. Both are single-use supplies carried as cargo.
The Repair Kit restores the hull to full when automatic use is enabled and hull integrity falls below 35%. Its market price scales with the active ship’s value. A catalogue price is therefore a reference, not a universal quote.
Prepare for the next route
A full shield does not replace fuel, and extra fuel does not repair a damaged hull. Before a long route or a story encounter, compare the ship’s actual condition with the supplies aboard.
Equipment, crew and the chosen hull add other layers to preparation. Use the current ship dossiers for base statistics and the crew directory for specialist abilities. Active bonuses and the encounter can change what those base numbers mean in practice.
