01 / Elder Sera
Arrival at the Sanctuary
The sanctuary is hidden inside a field of frozen glass asteroids. Each fragment reflects a different star. For a moment, the war feels far away.
A woman in white armor waits at the docking seal.
Elder Sera:
"Lyra."
Lyra steps behind you.
Lyra:
"I did what you told me. I ran."
Elder Sera leads you into a chamber where a star map burns across the floor.
Elder Sera:
"The Rift is not a door. It is a wound. The Black Fleet wants to force it open. The Tribunal wants to cut out anything touched by it. Lyra is the only living person who can survive near its heart."
"Yes. Including people who call themselves protectors."
The sanctuary alarms ignite. Glass asteroids outside the windows shatter under weapons fire.
Vex:
"They found us."
Elder Sera:
"No. Someone led them here."
Defend the sanctuary.
Evacuation ships lift from the sanctuary docks. Some make it. Some do not.
Lyra watches one ship burn before it reaches jump.
Lyra:
"I do not want to hide anymore."
"Teach me what to do."
Sera places a glowing fragment into a shielded case.
Elder Sera:
"This is a Starforge fragment. One piece of the path. Take it. Build allies. Build a fleet. We cannot protect her alone."
The sanctuary survived, but barely. The Guardians are no longer enough. The resistance must be built.

Haven Prime is loud, bright, and alive. Repair crews yell over engine noise. Smugglers argue with priests. Patrol pilots drink like the universe is not ending.
Kaela expands from a shipboard voice into a full operations hub, pulling dock feeds, mission boards, repair queues, and threat ledgers into one clean display.
Kaela Inferna:
"Haven uplink accepted. Interesting ship. Terrible heat signature. Worse enemies. You must be the pilot everyone is trying to kill."
"I am your onboard mission intelligence. Tactical analysis, Contract Mode, threat detection, crew coordination, and occasional bad ideas with good payouts. Lyra protection remains the priority."
Kaela opens six personnel files on your display.
Kaela:
"You need a navigator, an engineer, a gunner, a smuggler, a diplomat, and someone crazy enough to fly when physics gives up. I will coordinate them; you still choose who gets a seat."
Lyra:
"That sounds like a lot."
Kaela:
"That is the small list."
Mara Voss:
"I know Guardian routes no chart admits exist. If Lyra is going near the Rift, you need me."
Brood-7:
"The ship is wounded. You are pretending it is not. I can fix the ship. I cannot fix denial."
For the first time, the ship is not quiet. Tools spark in the engine bay. Someone laughs near the galley. New voices fill old spaces.
Lyra sits near the cockpit and watches the crew work.
Lyra:
"It feels different now."
"Does that mean they stay?"
Haven's departure board fills with new names beside your own. Mara brings hidden routes, Brood-7 stabilizes the wounded ship, and the empty bunks become a working crew.
Kaela:
"Recruitment confirmed. We are no longer one pilot carrying an impossible war."
Lyra:
"Then let's make sure everyone gets home."
