Everything burned
You burned the tree.
Branches selected by your campaign history
The game selects these routes from previous decisions. These links let you read the alternatives without evaluating a save.
You saved a child in the prologue and ground the Black Fleet into dust by the end and still — at the finale — you burned the tree. The Guardians understand. They do not forgive. They have spent forty-one wars learning to forgive outcomes; they have not yet learned to forgive the act. The child you saved is gone with everything else. You do not get to keep her. You knew this. You did it anyway, to end the war. Afterwards you live on a moon that was never colonized in any branch. You plant nothing. You wait.

There was nothing to save
You betrayed the Guardians. You wore the Black Fleet mark. You burned the tree. Every version of you was a variation on the same person — a pilot who decided early that no version of this was worth keeping. There are no survivors to judge you. There are no branches to compare against. You are in the only remaining real, and it is empty, and that is the work you did. You feel nothing. You have always felt nothing. It was never the world that was hollow.

Weight, finally
You made a dozen decisions and more along the way. Each one added weight. At the end, burning the tree felt like setting down the weight. You understand now that it only felt lighter because you put the weight on everyone else. You sit in your ship. The stars are the same. Only you are different. You recall, by accident, the name of a dispatcher in the prologue who gave you a job. You wonder whether he made it out. You will never know. That is what you chose.

The scorched pilot
Every faction hates you. You hate every faction. You burned the tree and they were all burning already. You fly through empty systems that still have corpses in orbit because nobody collected them. You are the only living thing for parsecs. You are alive. You are fine. You are fine. You are fine.

Monarch of nothing
You were a Black Fleet Commander. You visited every region. You burned the tree. The Black Site is empty but the fleet is still docked. You walk the corridors that your officers walked, and they are not here, and you are still wearing the commander's mark, and the decorations are still on the walls, and every console still boots. In the old throne room you sit down. Eventually you begin to issue orders. There is nobody to follow them. You issue them anyway. The silence develops a shape after a while.

The silence after
The tree is gone. The branches are gone. You fly back through space that is, for the first time in anyone's memory, simply space. There are no Guardians. None of them ever existed — without the Starforge to anchor them, their entire people unwound backward through time. The Black Fleet also vanished. So did Vex. So did the child you might have saved. The past did not just close — it rearranged itself to never have included them.
You are the only person in the universe who remembers they ever existed. Elder Sera. The Black Fleet. Vex. All of it. You are carrying the memory of an entire history that no longer happened. Nobody believes you when you tell them. They think you are insane. Eventually you stop telling them.

Record everything before you forget

You build an archive. Hundreds of thousands of pages. Every Guardian name you can remember. Every battle the Black Fleet fought. Every conversation you ever had with Vex. You hide the archive on a moon that nobody visits. You die without telling anyone where it is. A thousand years later, a scavenger finds it. They read it. They do not believe it. But they do not throw it away.

Forgetting
You try to forget. It is slow. Years of small losses. The name of the child fades first. Then Vex's face. Then the shape of the Guardian sanctum. By the time you die, all you remember is flying a cargo run that went wrong, and after that something vast and unspeakable happened, and you lived. You do not remember anyone you loved. You do not remember anyone you failed. The universe keeps their absence. You do not.
