Black Fleet ships appear inside the corridor, waiting. Commander Varek: "You brought everyone you could save. Efficient. I can kill them all in one place." Kaela: "Ambush pattern mapped. I am pushing intercept priorities to every allied gun. Protect the fleet and break through."
The last friendly ships tear free of the Rift corridor, damaged but present. Kaela: "Fleet count is lower than I want and higher than physics promised. We are through. Starforge approach is open."
The Starforge floats inside the heart of the storm. It is not a planet, not a station, not a weapon. It is older than the maps. Broken rings turn around a core of white fire. Vex: "There it is. The place every war has been trying to reach." Kaela: "No tactical model holds. The Starforge is reading Lyra, the fleet, and every route we did not take. I will keep the ship steady. Vex still has the map." Lyra: "It feels scared."
